Adi is five months old! So crazy! We finally pulled out our baby playmat, and she is learning to reach for the buggie.

We tried some rice cereal tonight, probably her one and only taste.

I think Max only had baby cereal once, and Jack never had any. (Not a big philosophical objection, I just don't think it's necessary. In general I am skeptical about the necessity of giving babies/kids fortified stuff. They say breast-fed babies *need* the iron from cereal - so from the beginning of time, babies have been iron-deficient??) Can someone tell me why I can't just mush up some regular brown rice and give it to her, strongly diluted? Even though the box says it's healthy and organic and all that, it sure doesn't look or smell like real rice. If we're not going to do fortified cereal anyway, then regular rice won't hurt will it?? In any case, Adi wasn't too interested in eating - although she did like the post-meal beat box serenade.

We also put together the exersaucer tonight. Adi can't really do anything with it yet, other than sit. The boys were pretty impressed though. Exersaucer + brothers= impending ADHD?

Sean has to go back to work on Monday. Boo!
